David Ironside won the 2009 Qantas Award for Best Original Music in Television for “Lost in Libya” TV1. A documentary about Kiwi soldiers in the Long Desert Patrol Group in Libya during WW2.

Warner Brothers Premiere

Warner Brothers Premiere have released the motion comic “Superman Red Son” at Comic-Con 2009 in San Diego. As well as composing, David was also responsible for arranging and orchestration which involved members of the Wellington Vector Orchestra.

ANZAC Day

David Ironside composed the music for two of TV1′s ANZAC Day documentaries. “Lost in Libya” the story of New Zealand’s Long Desert Patrol Group in WW2. “Saving Face” a documentary about the New Zealand surgeons who pioneered ground breaking plastic surgery for wounded soldiers in both world wars.
